Sorano Green Space Guidelines

APPROVED – JUNE 6, 2017

In the interest of creating a usable space for all our residents, while maintaining respect for surrounding neighbors, the following guidelines have been adopted by the Board of Directors for Sorano (Frisco) Homeowner’s Association (“Association”).

Definitions

  1. Association: Sorano (Frisco) Homeowner’s Association, Inc.
  2. Board: Board of Directors of the Association
  3. Common Area: All areas controlled by the Association, excluding homeowner lots
  4. Governing Documents: The Association’s CC&R’s and Bylaws
  5. Park: The area located on the corner of Paterno Drive and Sorano Drive, also referred to as the “space”, “Green Space” or the “Community Space”
  6. Gazebo: Covered area located within the park

Usage

  1. The park is available to all Sorano homeowners/residents in good-standing, to be used in accordance with these guidelines approved by the Board, and in accordance with the Association’s governing documents.
  2. The park may only be used by groups of residents during the hours of 7AM through 10PM. The Board may approve exceptions to this requirement.
  3. All residents are required to clean up after their use of the space. Any resident cited for not adhering to this requirement will not be permitted to use the park space for a period of time, as determined by the Board.
  4. Smoking is not permitted in the park or the gazebo.
  5. No signs, posters, advertising or similar items are permitted to be attached in any way to the Gazebo structure.
  6. Private bookings may be permitted with board approval, and with at least sixty-days (60-days) notice of the event. Any private event will be limited to no more than forty (40) people in attendance within the park area. The HOA Board may designate specific dates and times for Association use for social activities. These will be published, and these will take priority over any other planned activities by homeowners / residents.
  7. Grilling and cooking is permitted in the park, but must occur on concrete areas only. Deep frying of any kind is not permitted.
  8. No vehicles are permitted on any part of the park area (including pathways or grass areas).
  9. These requirements are in addition to any city-wide restrictions that may be in place (e.g., no fireworks permitted at any time, teenagers are not permitted to use the area during the curfew hours, etc.).

Community Responsibility

All residents will be asked to assist in a general common area clean-up twice each year, and this will include general maintenance of the gazebo, the park, and the gardens.
